golfclubcentanni.it is an independent guide to golf in Tuscany. We publish course profiles for the region’s active venues, travel itineraries that combine golf with culture, and longer reads on the history of the game in central Italy. Ours is an autonomous editorial operation: we do not represent and are not affiliated with any club, resort, tour operator or booking agency.
Our mission
We want to give Italian and international readers a documented, neutral tool for planning a Tuscan golf holiday. The internet is full of portals selling pre-packaged trips, and of individual club websites which, understandably, foreground their own course above everything else. What’s missing is a space for comparison — somewhere courses are described on consistent terms, and where the traveller can form a real picture before making a choice. That is the space we are trying to occupy.
Our editorial values
- Verified facts. Year of founding, par, length, designer and contact details are cross-checked against official sources (club websites, the Italian Golf Federation, local archives). When a source is uncertain we say so, or update the page as soon as we have confirmation.
- Commercial independence. We accept no payment from the clubs we cover. We don’t handle bookings. When we link to a third-party site for booking, we do so as plain informational signposting, nothing more.
- Plain language. No unjustified superlatives, no brochure formulas. Every course has strengths and limits; describing them honestly is more helpful than talking them up.
- Regular updates. The guides are revised at least once a year to reflect changes in management, course works and updated tariffs.
The team
We are a small editorial team of people who care about both golf and Tuscany. The core group is made up of writers with backgrounds in travel journalism and sports documentation, supported by external collaborators for on-the-ground checks and photography. We work remotely, with regular editorial meetings and annual visits to the region’s main clubs. Where individual articles carry by-lines, you’ll find them at the foot of the piece.
The site’s name
The domain golfclubcentanni.it originally belonged to Golf Club Centanni in Bagno a Ripoli, a 9-hole pitch & putt that closed at the end of 2024. After the domain was released we chose to acquire it for our editorial project, and to dedicate a memorial page to the original club. We have no relationship with the former Golf Club Centanni ASD, with the Bianchi family that founded it, or with the current owners of the land. For the full context behind that choice: the history of Golf Club Centanni.
Contact
For tips, corrections or editorial collaboration proposals, write to info@golfclubcentanni.it. We reply within a few working days. If you represent a club and would like to flag an update to your information — new tariffs, opening hours, course works, change of management — the same address is the right channel.
Legal notes
The information published on this site is for general guidance. The full conditions of use, including statements on editorial independence and the absence of any affiliation with the former club of the same name, are set out in our Terms of Use.
